Hi D.R.! Thanks for the note -- I am hopefully back for more than just this one weekend. Work situation is no longer so onerous and couldn't ignore those stacks of ASL boxes any longer. Took me 30 minutes though to figure out which binders had the latest version of the rules and which were out of date! Sorry you won't make the 18th but look forward to seeing you again at the November get together!

I put in for Saturday night off. I SHOULD have that off as its my usual night off, but just in case the client decides to be fanatic again I hope I can finally say "YES" I will make it.

I'll still work Friday night so I'll show in the afternoon. But I can at least kibitz if not get in a short game, late.

Very good, Keith, looks like Kirby has a fair amount of homework anyway....

On an unrelated note for you Santa Feans, I've been reading _109 East Palace Avenue_, which has been quite interesting.

Arg! Attack of mild vertigo this morning (I remember my dad got that from time to time, now I can commiserate), so I am sadly chained to home base....

Just wanted to thank Keith for taking the time yesterday to help me shake some of the rust off -- and also for taking lead on setting up the event. Look forward to doing this again on 8 November -- is that the correct date of the next go???

Fun was had,

Thanks Scott for an enjoyable game, and thanks to you for showing up even with the flat tire situation (and thank your wife for taking care of it). As one of the guys who drives an hour to attend these meets I appreciate it when the "locals" make the extra effort to make sure I get a game in.

I especially enjoyed the tactical discussions for both sides in game, it made it a much richer learning experience.

Looking forward to next month.
